Well....

I live with my fantastic husband
and gorgeous little boy and
baby girl in the middle of
North Carolina. I work as much
as I can on making neato clothing
and accessories, but most of the
time I hang out with Jude and baby Lily.

My Granny taught me how to sew when I was about five or
six. I didn't so much play with Barbie as I preferred to
make her amazing clothing using the scrap fabric from my
Granny's' sewing stash. She never threw any scrap away,
and neither do I. She saved them for years in plastic bags
in the basement. She let me use them when I would visit.
Now I make cool clothes and accessories from those
vintage scraps, my scraps, and other peoples scraps and
old clothes. I am constantly going to every thrift store,
Goodwill, and Habitat for Humanity looking for all sorts of
things to reuse. I love finding old, gently used furniture to
restore, too.
old sleep sofa from my childhood that i am currently
working on recovering with scraps from years of sewing.
donated clothes from my
stepmother waiting to be reborn.....
Now I am living and working in that same basement I started sewing in
all those years ago. Along with sewing I also enjoy turning clay. I
attended Montgomery Community College in 2003-2004 where I
pursued a Degree in Professional Crafts: Clay. It's right near
Seagrove, N.C. a.k.a. pottery Mecca. I loved it so much and have
returned to complete my studies. I also intend on traveling to Georgia
some time this next year to attend a school that teaches short
immersion classes in silversmithing and Enameling. I'm also very
interested in learning lampworking to make my own glass beads.
Man, there's just not enough lifetime for everything I want to learn.
